Several years ago three leading travel writers developed Luxury Travel Mavens. While the group writes for major publications like USA Today, Condé Nast Traveler, Fodor’s Travel Blog, Forbes, and National Geographic, they sometimes needed a home for stories that their mainstream clients didn’t commission.
The writers set out to share their opinions on compelling destinations around the world and offer up previews and reviews of luxury hotels and resorts, cruise ships, yacht charters, villa rentals, private jets, and private islands. The advice shared included just about any type of vacation, from honeymoons to family getaways to safaris to suborbital space flights.
The good news is that those stories can still be found right here at Luxury Travel Mavens. The bad news is that the authors have become so inundated with assignments that they can no longer post here on a regular basis. See below for links to their current projects.
Andrea M. Rotondo, editorial director
Andrea’s spent the past 20 years writing about bespoke travel experiences for magazines, travel guidebooks, and websites. The breadth of her expertise includes destination weddings and honeymoons, exotic island getaways, luxury cruises, African safaris, and leveraging frequent flyer miles and hotel loyalty points. Her gypsy-footed nature has taken her around the world, where she’s trekked through Indonesian rainforest in search of wild orangutans and followed a pack of African wild dogs as they hunted for their evening meal in a game reserve in South Africa. She’s written guidebooks for Thomas Cook Publishing and Birnbaum’s Official Guides to Disneyland and Walt Disney World. She’s a regular contributor to Condé Nast Traveler, Fodor’s Travel Blog, and Reward Expert. She’s also written for FoxNews.com, Cruise and Travel Lifestyles, Cruise International, Cruise Critic, and other magazines and websites.
